Quattro Canti

Quattro Canti (Four Corners). Traffic rushes through the Baroque crossroads,
the center of medieval Palermo. It rushes through without noticing the dirty statues
in the concave corners where the heads or criminals of old rotted on stakes
to remind would-be evil doers of the payment for their deeds. (10/00)
