The Anual Battery

The Story behind the battery
About 10 years ago, 1993, I had forgotten to get a gift for some at Christmas. I felt bad about it. I remembered I had bought some batteries. People always need batteries around Christmas. I wrapped all the batteries and gave them as a gift. On the 9-volt battery I put a note to check your smoke detector battery. It went so well I decided to do this every year. The first year I wrapped up 9-volt batteries and put name tags on them and gave to all the family members. I did this for a year or two. Then I decided to give them out to my friends. Then I stopped putting nametags on them. Then I added co-works to the pool. Now I even hand them out to people I meet.
This year I am creating this web page to the project. I am asking what do you do at Christmas? How do you use the battery? The idea behind the is not that you use it for your smoke detector it is just that you think about checking your.

Send me your stories. I will post them here and I will only use your first name. I will post no ones email address either to help keep you from getting spam. Send your stories me . Dec 2003

Here are some of the stores I remember from the past.
Few years back some told me they just put in last yeas battery yesterday when the smoke detector battery went dead. And they said they used one of my batteries
I used the battery in the remote control for the kid's car.
One asked if it was ok if the battery would work in the answering machine.
I have used mine in the stud finder, Caller ID box, Volt. Meter. Of course I have a couple extra.
Until 5 years ago I was giving away Duracell batteries. Now it is Energizer. Both batteries are good batteries. Which brand do you like? Email me and tell me why.

and tell me why.

And now your stories
Carol was telling us that her husband is a fireman and her daughter was cooking the other day. Her daugher call her dad:" Dad, come here." No response. "Oh Da%"...Note from Marty: 'I wonder how this ended.'>
