Monday, March 26th, 2012

I continuing to to exercise and get my body in better shape.

I also keep trimming out my backpack. I find many of the things i carried five years ago are lighter than what the new things I bought to replace them with this time. Hence I am still working on lightening my load.

I just received my Credenial del Peregrino from the American Pilgrims on the Camino.

Here is what it looks like and what the stamps looked like in the one I got 5 years ago after losing the first on around Navarette. I am not really sure where I lost it I only think Navarette. The only thing I was sure is I did not have in in Najera and walked back as far as Ventosa the to San Domingo to get a new one. If you would like the rest of the story check out my book.
My route in 2007 when I had notice I had lost my Pilgrim’s Passport

Not Much Happening

Monday, March 12th, 2012

I am ready to go for the most part.

I had to finish my taxes and get my meds ready. The doctor say he has to see me before I go to make sure I am healthy. It has been a year and a half so I decided to get checked out just to keep the doctor happy.

I have been going through the things I think I need in the back pack and removing many things I most likely will not use. The lighter my load the more pleasure my adventures will be. My feet will like the lighter load too. Every time I go through the backpack I take a little more out. It seems like I pack too many think that I think I need as a backup. The who idea it to pack light.

I even took one of the branches I trimmed of the tree a couple of years ago and tried to make a walking stick. It was just a thought I could have a Woodstock stick to keep me company on my long journey. Well when I got the stick to my liking I weighed it. It was too heavy. So I decide if I have time I will do it over again and make it half as much.

So if you have any thoughts leave me a comment.
