Walked the Walk

Sunday, June 23rd, 2013

I have only been working on my book a little the last few weeks. This morning I noticed it was June 23rd. You may say;”So!” Well today it the day I returned from Walking the Walk, Camino de Santiago. I had left on May 1st at noon and return home June 23rd at 6:30pm. Last night I was looking through some of the postings on Facebook from the people I met while walking the Camino. Many left for their home the same time I did.
I think about Walking the Walk again. Today I thought about when I am 70. I tried when I was 60. Then when I was 65 I walked the whole Camino. When I am 70 maybe I could walk it from St. Jean Pied-de-Port to Santiago and back. Or maybe walk it backwards. Or maybe just read a book about it. Time will tell.

A year later

Would you believe a year ago I was walking across Spain?

I haven’t forgotten being there. I have forgotten I started this blog to let friends know all about me Walking the Walk. I don’t think there has bee a week go by in the last year when some has said to me;”You did what?” And you know I love to tell my story. It keeps my Camino walk alive.

I have started to write a book about my experiences on the Camino last year. Wait doesn’t everyone?
A couple months ago I hooked up a trailer to the back of my camper to deliver a load of goods for a friend to northern California on the way to southern California for the American Pilgrims of the Camino Gathering from Illinois and spent time in about 6 repair shops on the way because of the camper break downs. Another long story. I had a great time because I spent those two weeks with my brothers and visiting with my sisters on the way home before running out of gas about 20 miles from home. Smile we ran out of gas and rolled right up to the pump and never got stranded in 5,000 miles. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple of health issues I am working on now and they are working out just fine. I get them under control and will think about walking the walk again.
